Health resort tax is used to finance the tourist infrastructure for example that the beaches are kept clean, provision of public facilities for visitors or the various events which are offered by the local tourist service.
The tax is levied by the municipality and is compulsory for every guest. The guests profit directly from the contributions paid.
The ostseecard
When you arrive you receive the ostseecard upon payment of the health resort tax.
There is a wide range of special rates which is offered to you by the ostseecard. For example special rates, admission to leisure facilities and in retail. You have as well free admission to the beach.
prices:
high season from 15th of May – 14th of September: € 2,60/day
low season from 15th of September – 14th of May: € 1,-/day
Children up to 18 years for free.
