Our tips for unforgettable hours in our beautiful city:
Start an expedition into the secret world of the alleys and courtyards and the small street named Kolk. Have a look inside the medieval Hospital of the Holy Spirit. You will have a splendid view over the rooftops and the entire Old Town from the platform of St. Peter's Church. Time for rest: try one of the restaurants, bistros and cafés with hidden and quiet courtyards (hidden spots). Now you are refreshed and can choose between several interesting museums. Definitely a difficult choice! (museums). After your visit to the museum the most delicious sweets await you at the famous Café Niederegger.
Beautiful souvenirs for your loved-ones back home can be found in one of the numerous shops. And late in the afternoon you can feel the fresh breeze on a boat on the Trave river.
Our harbour and canal tours are an absolute MUST. End your day in one of the typical restaurants of the Old Town e.g. the historic Seafarer's Guild (Schiffergesellschaft)
