Please note that a mouth-nose covering is required.

The small border museum, the Border Documentation Site Lübeck, documents history on the East-West border in Lübeck.

Lübeck was the only West Germany city directly on the border with East Germany. The Selmsdorf border crossing was the most northerly border for transport crossing to East Germany - especially trucks - going to Scandinavia via Rostock and Rügen.

The small border museum contains an interesting collection of uniforms, medals, reports, memorabilia, photo documentation and videos dedicated to the opening of the inner-German border in 1989.

The small border museum in Schlutup, the Border Documentation Site in Lübeck, promotes historical awareness, particularly among younger people.
