Music

Without music, life would be a mistake. We turn the whole St. Giles' quarter into a stage during the HanseKulturFestival. Music will be played on the streets, in the churches, in the hidden courtyards and alleyways and in some living rooms of Lübeck's town houses. Different musicians will rock the outdoor swimming area Altstadtbad Krähenteich. Lübeck's singer/songwriters come together, performing unique melodies; international sounds ring out from various streets. Students of the local music college bring special hearing pleasure and their experienced colleagues surprise with rarely heard masterpieces.

Schlumachers Singer/Songwriter Stage

Real, handmade, original: the stage events rock! But not too loud...There are also quiet and acoustic sounds that let you dream. But the focus is always on art - Lübeck's originals, which simply can't be copied. We also invited a few guests from surrounding areas who will convince you with their artistic performance.

Tramper AiO

FR, 5 - 5.40 p.m. and 6 -6.50 p.m.
In 2014, Tramper won the Music Storm Contest with their acoustic Folk-Pop from Hamburg. This band creates their special sound through the rare combination of the classic violin/cello and modern guitar. It's their second time at the HanseKulturFestival!

Nite Club
FR, 7.30 p.m. - 8.20 p.m. and 9 - 10 p.m.
The band's trademark is the unique soul voice of the lead singer Sandy Edwards. She completes the sextet, which is dedicated to the groove since 1998 and brings lost pearls of soul music to light by interpreting them in a contemporary sound and top quality.

Tender Delights
SA, 11 - 11.40 a.m. and 12 - 12.40 p.m.
Tender Delights is an emotional soul voice in vintage sound and a groovy acoustic guitar. The duo plays popular hits of pop, soul and jazz sound, be it Amy Wine Winehouse, Michael Jackson or Stevie Wonder.

Lutopia Orchestra
SA, 1 - 1.40 p.m. and 2 - 2.40 p.m.
This colourful duo simply belongs to Lübeck. Their special mix of rock blues and polka is well-known in our city. The two multi-instrumentalists also play at festivals and big events.

Lornsen
SA, 3 - 3.40 p.m. and 3 - 4.30 p.m.
In the final constellation, LORNSEN was formed in the end of 2016. The band represents thrilling German pop rock-songs in combination with the sensitive-poetic lyrics of lead singer and songwriter Jörg. His unique soul voice is carried by a great sound and exciting arrangements.

Golden Soldier
SA, 5.15 - 5.40 p.m. and 5.50 - 6.30 p.m
The trio was founded in spring 2017 in Hannover. With their three-parted vocal parts they give their combination of blues and '60ies hardrock a special note. In the truest sense of the words.

Project Caramba
SA, 7.30 - 8 p.m. and 8.20 - 9 p.m. and 9.20 - 10 p.m.
The Lübeck-based band has been an absolute party smasher for four years already. This is mainly due to the fact that one thing hasn't changed: the incomparable charm of the four musicians and their unique style-mix called country-pop-rock-singer-songwriter-reggae-polka-punk.

Miu
SU, 11 - 11.40 a.m. and 12 - 12.40 a.m.
In November 2016 Miu and a band of 10 musicians played the first amplified concert at the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg, even before the official opening, thus establishing herself as a soul pop-singer in the music scene.

Days of Northern Lights
SU, 1.15 - 1.40 p.m. and 2 - 2.45 p.m.
Since January 2016, these young musicians hit the stages in North Germany. Be it pop, swing or dance, the programme is as colorful as the thoughts of the combo from Bad Oldesloe.

Kerygold
SU, 3.30 - 4.10 p.m. and 4.30 - 5.15 p.m.
The repertoire of Kerygold ranges from contemporary pop-songs to traditional Irish and American folk to rough blues and soul rhythms. Next to polyphone singing, the guitar, bass and violin as well as the accordion and mandolin go into action.

Live at the lake

The music festival of the Altstadtbad Krähenteich goes into the next round - more precisely into the HanseKulturRound! Every year you can listen to the sounds of various musicians and bands in a relaxed atmosphere and the most beautiful old town scenery, all right by the Krähenteich. And because we're celebrating the HanseKulturFestival, admission is free for everyone this time.

Klaroscure
SU, 1.30 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Their concerts are like a musical trip around the world with songs from Columbia and France, New Zealand, Peru and Italy. Special highlights in their repertoire are heartbreaking South American ballads and duets as well as peppy Spanish flamenco pop tracks and polyphonic boleros.

Tidemore
SU, 4 p.m. - 5.30 p.m.
The brothers Matthias and Andreas Pietsch reflect on the big topics of our time. From the point of view of two men, who grew up to be adults, they light up the state of the world and are looking for their balance in there. A run along the edge between home and foreign.

Sound District St. Giles'

An entire district is heard in song hymns, string sounds, guitar sounds and choral sounds. Around St. Giles' there are many small but also large meeting places, which are wrapped in music for the HanseKulturFestival. From the large Aegidienhof to the hidden alleyway or the violin garage next door, they all entice with different sounds to enchant the guests. Galleries and shops open their doors with clefs and fashion ateliers lay out the sound carpet.
